When individuals post comments to the site we gather the data specified in the comments form, as well as the IP address and browser user agent provided by the visitor in order to detect potential spam.
The email address can be connected to an anonymized string (called hash) provided to the Gravatar service to know whether you are using the service. In response to the notification you receive when your comment is approved, only your profile picture that features beside your comment is public.
Media
The website should not be uploaded with any image with location data (EXIF GPS) data embedded in them. Users who have accessed the website can at any one point download and extract location data from images on the website.
Cookies
We currently do not store any information about our users and visitors, however if you decide to leave a comment on our site, you may choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are to ensure that you do not have to type in your information each time you decide to leave any other comment. These cookies will remain in the browser for one year.
If you follow the path of our login page we will define a temporary cookie to check whether your browser is accepting cookies or not. This cookie is also inedible and does not contain any information about you; it is deleted when you shut the browser.
We will also use cookies to store the login information and your display preferences each time you log in. Information that is provided in login cookies expires in 2 days, and screen options cookies expires in 1 year. In case of choosing “Remember Me”, the login data is saved for two weeks. In particular, if the client logs out his account, then the login cookies will be deleted.
But if you edit or publish an article, another coconut will be set in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and merely tells where the post id is of the article which you just modified. It expires after 1 day.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, then your comment and any associated metadata are retained until you say otherwise. We do this so that the comment author and other readers can know that the next comments received from the posts author have been approved instead of waiting to appear in moderation queue.
For the users, who register on our website (if any), we also hold the information provided in their personal account in the personal profile. All users can look at and modify or remove any information about them anytime (but cannot change username). Website admins can also see and alter that information.

If you register on the site or commented, you must receive an exported file of the personal data which we have received or you provide to us. You may also exclude us from processing your personal data which we hold on you by requesting that we delete it. Of course, this does not consider any data that we are required to store for purposes such as administration, legalities or security.
